Better roads and canal systems were put into place, but one of the most profound changes was the introduction of the railways; speed, efficiency and cheapness...they transformed Britain completely.
The barrier had been broken down! Traveling that was once only for the rich was now becoming a part of almost everyone's life, they could now travel to lands ' they never imagined existed.
